Here you will find videos and guides supporting you with using DocsPlus with your students during your pilot.
DocsPlus has enabled students to be independent, so it really does help students tell us what they know…
Why DocsPlus?
There are so many new writing challenges to master as students move through secondary school, from writing in different genres to incorporating subject-specific vocabulary. What sets DocsPlus apart from other word processors is the extensive support it offers to struggling writers to boost independence and develop positive attitudes to writing by removing barriers easily.
If a student qualifies for additional access arrangements in exams, they can use DocsPlus (JCQ compliant), saving time and money that would otherwise be spent on human scribes and readers.

During your pilot, it’s important that you are able to see the impact that DocsPlus has had on your students. Here are some ways that you might want to measure that impact:
Analytics
DocsPlus analytics tool provides you with rich data, giving you a unique insight into each learner’s writing process. It can give you bespoke spelling lists of spelling patterns your learner is struggling with to then deliver targeted interventions.
You can even check which words the student has opted to listen to before using them, helping you to assess whether the vocabulary provided is at an accessible level.
Student views
We have created an editable PDF to help you measure impact and monitor students’ attitudes towards DocsPlus. If this were to be completed before and after your pilot, it would be a great way to demonstrate the impact DocsPlus has had over the 6 weeks.
We've created templates that you can use to help gather your students' views.
