Why is DocsPlus telling me to reinstall on launch?

DocsPlus Menu

When launching DocsPlus, you receive one or more of the following error messages:
Cannot find 'MSVCP140.dll'. Please, re-install this application.
or
The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.
or
DocsPlus has stopped working.

Resolution

DocsPlus uses Visual C++ to run correctly. On rare occasions, these components don't register properly when during installation.

To resolve the problem, download and install the Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable from Microsoft:

  1. Log into Windows as an administrator.
  2. Click this link to start the download:
    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=615459
  3. Run the downloaded vc_redist.x86.exe file. Accept the license agreement and then click Install.
  4. When the installation has finished, restart the computer.

DocsPlus should now launch correctly.
