Laura Trowern, Learning Support Assistant, shares how Clicker has removed barriers to writing for her young learners.
Clicker has helped pupils:
“Some children just felt that when they approached a writing task or a literacy task that there was a brick wall in front of them. They couldn’t get past it, the cognitive load for these children was massive. They would fall at the first hurdle as it was just too much.
With Clicker, that load is reduced. They’re not having to think about their handwriting or letter formation because it’s laid out for them visually, in a clear sequence. It’s a lovely scaffold; it’s an accessible tool for these children to get them from ‘I can’t do this’ to ‘I can do this’ to ‘I can do this by myself.’”
