How do I use a Vocabulary Set as a soundboard?

You would like all cells in your Vocabulary Set to speak immediately when tapped.

Resolution

By default, tapping a cell in a Vocabulary Set sends its text to the Message Area. Once a user has built their Message, they can tap the Message Area to speak it.

If you prefer to have cells speak immediately when tapped, disable the Message Area:

1. If the top toolbar is hidden, tap the black line above the Message Area, and then tap the top-right Edit View icon.
2. Tap Format in the bottom-left corner.
3. On the Details tab, turn off Message Area.
4. A message will appear. Tap Speak When Tapped.
5. Tap Done to finish.

To change it back, repeat these steps, but turn on Message Area and tap Turn off Cell Sound.
